The BNCSCAN antenna is a replacement antenna and is not guaranteed to work better than the antenna supplied with your scanner, however the BNCSCAN is designed for specific frequencies where the antenna supplied with your scanner may only be a random coil not resonate at any particular frequency.

The SMASCAN antenna is a replacement antenna and is not guaranteed to work better than the antenna supplied with your scanner, however the SMASCAN is designed for specific frequencies where the antenna supplied with your scanner may only be a random coil not resonate at any particular frequency.
NOTE: The diameter of the base of the SMA is 12mm It may not fit your application please ask if in doubt.

The Scantenna is a 5/8 wave on a 5/8 wave separated with a 1/4 wave coil producing a 5dB gain on 468MHz and a 1/4 wave on 73MHz which makes for an excellent choice where UHF scanning is the primary band and length of antenna is an issue. The SCA is also available in black.
Recommended accessories - UL12BNC with BMS or Mag12BNC

The SCATX is designed especially for Police band, Airband, Ambulance & Fire brigade scanning, and in some cases can also be used as a transmitting antenna on the following frequencies 468MHz 4.5dB gain, 124MHz 2.14dB gain, 73MHz unity gain and 40MHz 1/4 wave, the SCATX is resonant at these frequencies with a SWR <1.5:1. Recommended accessories - UL12BNC with BMS or Mag12BNC
